Reset your display brightness
- Darken the room to whatever level you want to play at.
- Reset your display brightness, using your display remote, to whatever level is comfortable to you.
Reset all game options
From the options screen, press “Factory Reset.”
- Use the brightest lser you can, such as the SIRT pistol.
- Recalibrate then play in as dark of a room as possible.
- Change to movie mode on your projector, set your brightness to whatever level you would ideally play at, then recalibrate. Don’t reduce brightness unless the game asks you to.
- Under options / false positive reduction and options / false negative reduction, use the lowest values you can that don’t result in errors in the game. Pressing factory reset will use the defaults that work for me.
- During the phase of calibration where you shoot the screen, make sure variance doesn’t jump up suddenly due to one-off errors. Press reset if it does.
- If you are using iOS this is unavoidable due to limitations of the AVCam API that Apple provides. Change to any other platform, such as Mac desktop.
On mobile devices you do not need a webcam. On PC it will work with most webcams; if your webcam is too slow, the game will tell you when you try to calibrate. The shop sells low-cost webcams if you need one. On Mac OS your best option is a Logitech Webcam that supports Logi Tune, again see the shop for options.

Press ‘Shooting Records’ from the main menu. Each game mode records statistics on game end to a .CSV file stored in the local filesystem, which can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar. Using those programs, you can graph and analyze how your shooting ability improves over time.
The game does not care how you render to an external display, just that you have done so. Having said that, wireless screen casting adds latency from my testing, which hurts the gameplay experience.
If you are using a Samsung device, you will want to disable Dex. Dex is the annoying black screen with 4 rectangles that shows up when you plug in an HDMI cable. Go to settings, then Connected Devices / Samsung Dex. Disable Auto start when HDMI is connected.
No, you can also use a SIRT pistol or Sinden lightgun. However, mouse emulator mode does require a real gun, it won’t show up in the list of games otherwise.
No. Dry fire lasers are class 3A, also known as class 3R. Lasers at this class use a wattage are too weak to damage hardware or skin and cannot be felt. You should not shine these lasers directly into living creatures’ eyes however.
No, although a projector provides the best experience. Modern computer monitors usually have matte displays and will work, albeit your targets will be small. It will also work with a TV with a matte surface, or a TV with a glossy surface but with an anti-glare film applied.
You need a room dark enough to see the projector, even at dim levels. If you are using a SIRT pistol and have calibrated properly technically you can play in a fully lit room but this is ideal and not always the case.
Get the brightest laser dry fire system you can, with a system that auto-resets. The $20 laser cartridges I have tried are dim. The shop page has several options I have tried and have verified work as the developer. Do not buy an infrared laser.
It uses the camera connected to your computer to continually watch your display. It then uses a variety of algorithms to distinguish between what is a laser vs. what are just bright points on your screen.
